THE EU Pediatric CAM (PedCAM) INITIATIVE

Following the ICCMR meeting in Tromso, we believe that the time is ripe to enhance activities
of the EU PedCAM as part of the international activities to promote Pediatric CAM. As you know, the CAMbrella project was launched at the meeting in Tromso. The aim of this project is to draw the future roadmap of research in regard to CAM that will be presented to the European Research Program (F P7). As CAM becomes more and more popular within the paediatric and adolescent population, we found that it is appropriate to bring up this important issue to CAMbrella and at the same time to have more communication between us (the practitioner and researcher in the field in Europe) sees the link: http://www.cambrella.eu/home.php
During the board meeting of CAMbrella which took place on May 18th a decision was made to pay attention and to gather information in regard to paediatric and adolescent patients.
On June 10th, the meeting which founded the EU Pediatric CAM (PedCAM) Initiative was
held in Cyprus. The aim of the initiative is to gather information to furnish CAMbrella working packages 3, 4, 5 and 6 with relevant information which will enable them to reach the needs for future research in PedCAM. At the same time the initiative will allow us a platform of future
communication. The first stage is to allocate at least 12 coordinators from 12 different countries and that is what brings us to approach you.
