Η Συμπερίληψη στην Πράξη: Σπάζοντας τα Εμπόδια στις Θεραπείες Αφής

Όταν τυφλοί και βλέποντες σπουδαστές εκπαιδεύονται μαζί, η πραγματική ισότητα σημαίνει τη δημιουργία ενός περιβάλλοντος εξετάσεων όπου όλοι μπορούν να διαπρέψουν.
Αυτό το βίντεο καταγράφει μια όμορφη στιγμή προσαρμοσμένης, δίκαιης εξέτασης—αποδεικνύοντας ότι η εκπαίδευση δεν έχει όρια όταν επιλέγουμε να είμαστε προσβάσιμοι.

Μέσα στο εργαστήριο: Οι βλέποντες σπουδαστές χρησιμοποίησαν την κλασική γραπτή μέθοδο για να ολοκληρώσουν τις εξετάσεις τους με ησυχία και συγκέντρωση.
Έξω από το γραφείο: Ο τυφλός σπουδαστής μας εξετάστηκε στα ίδια ακριβώς θέματα μέσω προφορικής εξέτασης. Του έθεσα τις ερωτήσεις προφορικά και κατέγραψα τις απαντήσεις του.
Η ιδανική διαρρύθμιση: Η χρήση του εξωτερικού χώρου δημιούργησε έναν φυσικό εναλλακτικό χώρο, εξασφαλίζοντας ένα περιβάλλον χωρίς περισπασμούς για όλους.

Ακούστε προσεκτικά τα δυνατά λόγια του σπουδαστή μας σε αυτό το βίντεο. Η σκέψη του μας υπενθυμίζει ότι η έλλειψη όρασης συχνά οξύνει την απτική ευαισθησία, τη διαίσθηση και τη σύνδεση—τα ίδια ακριβώς “υπερόπλα” που χρειάζονται για να κυριαρχήσει κανείς σε δια χειρών πρακτικές όπως η Ρεφλεξολογία, το μασάζ, το Σιάτσου και την φυσιοθεραπεία.
Η συμπερίληψη δεν αφορά μόνο το να αλλάξουμε τον τρόπο που εξετάζουμε, αλλά το να ξεκλειδώσουμε τη μοναδική λάμψη του κάθε σπουδαστή ξεχωριστά.
Inclusivity in Action: Breaking Barriers in Touch Therapy
When blind and sighted students train together, true equality means creating an exam environment where everyone can thrive. This video captures a beautiful moment of adapted, equitable testing—proving that education has no limits when we choose to be accessible.
How we made it work:
Inside the office: Sighted students used standard written formats to complete their exams in quiet concentration.
Outside the office: Our blind student took the exact same exam through an oral viva. I asked the questions verbally and recorded his spoken responses.
The perfect setup: Utilizing the outdoor space created a natural alternative room, ensuring a distraction-free environment for everyone.
“Anything that has to do with the tactile part, the touch, we can serve it!”

I also speak about and practise on our players the piezoelectricity phenomena, something I believe very strongly in, and some others are also considering.Judith Whatley, Joanne Perkins, and Carol Samuel in their paper ‘Reflexology: Exploring the mechanism of action’ among very interesting possible mechanisms write..."Manipulative treatments, and the use of mechanical transduction which instigates a piezoelectric response, may stimulate the activity of fibroblasts causing them to proliferate and potentially reduce the pain associated with inflammatory conditions such as fibromyalgia."

Athens – April Training
The Athens training in April is a small, intimate group, offering not only in-depth learning but also a special experience of the city. As a local, I personally guide students so they can truly feel the spirit of Athens while studying.
